OUR STORY

A Family Affair

The farm is owned and operated by Dr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Cox and their children. We have been at the same location since the farm was purchased in 1989. Over the years we have grown cattle, horses, emu, ostrich, peaches, strawberries, and vegetables.

Today, the farm consists of a registered Brahman cowherd, registered Brangus cowherd and a heifer development program. We also offer farm fresh, locally raised beef in bulk quantities as well as boxed options.

Our convenient location, which is about 2 miles from the 212 exit in Clanton, provides easy access for cattle and beef sales.

Cattle

Currently we have a registered Brahman cowherd, registered Brangus cowherd, and a custom heifer development operation.

We pride ourselves in moderate framed, easy fleshing, GENTLE, eared females that thrive in the Southeast.

We have seasonal sales of open and bred Brangus heifers, Golden Certified F1 heifers and registered Brahman bulls. Brahman heifer sales are extremely limited.

Produce

Chilton County peaches are known nationwide, making the establishment of an orchard a no brainer. We have 20 varities of peach, with harvest usually occuring Early May- Late August.

Since peaches require a certain amount of weather below 45 degrees known as a "chill hour" we hope for cool winters and no late frosts.

Peaches are available most days at the farm, when in season, retail and wholesale purchases are welcome.

Responsibly Raised

Our phrase, RESPONSIBLY RAISED, means just that. We take great pride in providing a safe product to our consumers. Cattle are all handled in accordance to BQA and industry standards. The peach and vegetable crops are all monitored closely, using Integrated Pest Management techniques, pesticides and fungicides when necessary, always in accordance with the labels and Federal law.

We invite each of you to stop by the farm, by appointment, and have a look at how your food is raised.
